Pros: My graphics card is still running well with my overclocks and after playing with the fan curves a bit, I've found the perfect setting for me thus giving me the middle ground between quiet and efficiency.
Cons: None so far. I guess it's dumping a lot of heat into my room overall? loljk
Other Thoughts: Correcting a typo in my previous review, I've actually overclocked the memory to 1750mhz. Since GDDR5 is twice the speed of GDDR3, 7000mhz is achieved by 1750x4.
My fan profile doesn't seem to save when I exit the overclocking utility. Perhaps it's just a software bug and will be fixed very soon.
Pros: Specifically looking at reference cards only? Perhaps for those SLI solutions? Stop looking and buy this one. For the price, this card offers great performance, value, and overclocking headroom.
I have my overclock solid stable at 1200 core and 1575 mem (the almighty 7000mhz effective memory that the GTX770 possesses)
This card over 1000 core immediately beats the Titan at stock speeds, while costing over $300 less!!
Cons: I am a honest enthusiast giving a honest review; some people are really overrating the reference cooler. It's really not THAT quiet.. Its fan rpm is definitely improved and very stable without the dips and spikes.
But the fans begins to be faintly audible at precisely 50% and at least 70% is needed to keep it below 80c while overclocked and overvoltaged to ensure stability. >80% is literally a jet engine.
Perhaps I may be a bit too sensitive but I'd like to put that information out there for everyone's decision.
Other Thoughts: This is the best choice for reference coolers simply for its lifetime warranty. $650 is quite an investment and adequate protection is certainly favorable.
One may never know when their card will suddenly stop working after 5 years or so.
P.S. For those who may or may not know, these cards are voltage locked. They can overvolt but up to 1.2v max.
Thanks to anyone for reading and good luck finding the right card for you! But for reference GTX 780, look no further.
This review is from: G.SKILL 4GB microSDHC Flash Card w/ SD Adapter Model FF-TSDG4GA-C4
Pros: Came with the purchase of a pair of G.Skill Sniper 8gb ram. Works perfectly!
Cons: None. It's really small I guess? lolREAD FULL REVIEW
