Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail
  • Verified Owner

5 out of 5 eggs Excellent keyboard for gaming 09/23/2012

This review is from: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail

Pros: I hesitated to buy this keyboard because some reviews said the markings came off the keys. I've owned it for a year, use it every day, and the keyboard still looks like new. It's easy to program. I haven't had a single problem with it.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggs Very nice keyboard 07/27/2011

This review is from: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I really like this keyboard. The macro software is a bit klunky but easy to use and you don't have to be a programmer to tweak macros. It would have been simple for Microsoft to have a macro group indicator that was useful in low light, but that is really the only thing I would change with the hardware.

Actiontec PWR200K01 AV200 Powerline Kit Up to 200Mbps

5 out of 5 eggs Works great 11/08/2014

This review is from: Actiontec PWR200K01 AV200 Powerline Kit Up to 200Mbps

Pros: I was skeptical but this device does exactly what it is supposed to do. I simply plugged it in to the router and power outlet and the other one into a computer and power outlet in another room. It connected immediately. I haven't measured the speed but it is noticeably faster than the 10mbps I was getting from wifi.

Cons: The only negative is that it was turning on two touch lamps I have in the room with the computer. They kept switching on and off, starting right after I established the connection. I plugged it into a power strip (which the manufacturer says may keep it from working) and the problem with the lights was gone. It continues to work as a network connection.

Other Thoughts: I'm pleasantly surprised at how simple and easy the setup is. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
