Cyber Acoustics CA-3602 30 Watts 2.1 3 Piece Flat Panel Design Subwoofer & Satellite Speaker System
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Absolutely Solid for the price. The satellites are good quality, and sound crisp even 2 going on 3 years later. The subwoofer is decent too.

Cons: The volume control seems somewhat redundant considering that I can control the volume with my PC anyways, but the extra control isn't necessarily unwanted. The blue light on the volume control is also very bright and makes me want to punch something when I turn off the lights and lie down in bed and just to see the blue, glowing on the ceiling, forcing me to get back up. The sub woofer makes up the vast majority of the low-middle range, and I find that I have to adjust the bass from song to song to keep it sounding good. I can't just leave it going song to song because what sounds amazing on one song utterly distorts the next, although that's probably more so an issue with my taste in music than the function of the speakers.

Other Thoughts: The best bang for my buck speakers I can think of. I'd absolutely recommend them if you're looking for budget speakers, otherwise spending $20-30 more might net you a better sub. They would definitely be on the list if I suddenly had to repurchase some PC speakers.

Cooler Master HAF 922 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and All-Black Interior
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: This case is fully metal, fully painted, comes with water-cooling support, it's totally tool-less, provides massive space for massive graphics cards, has massive airflow AND is already setup to mount even more fans. It also has a sizeble cutout for mounting a sizeable CPU fan. It's stylish, and includes a built in red LED in the front. After almost 3 years of owning it I've never had a problem with it. I've seen plenty of other $100 cases and this one absolutely blows them all out of the water.

Cons: It's pretty big, and it's very heavy, even more so when filled with components. The HDD trays are tool less, but it feels much better when you just screw in the HDD. My case didn't come with any dust filters, except the disk drive compartments, right where there's really no airflow and thus, no need for dust filters. The LED on the front fan is somewhat difficult to see. It would've been nice if the case included a side window from the factory, but that is in fact available aftermarket.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook- Intel Core i7 8GB RAM 256GB SSD 14
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: Decent processor, 8GB of ram, 256GB SSD, great battery life as well as super fast charging speed.

Cons: Only has a 265GB SSD, Windows will probably take up 16-25GB of that. No discrete GPU, only integrated (heat!). The screen is only 14in and isn't even 1080p (its 900p), there's no optical drive (bye bye DVDs), the battery is NOT replaceable, and is integrated, so once the battery is dead, you've got a $1,500 brick.

Other Thoughts: Frankly, I don't own this laptop. However, according to the specifications, as a consumer, you can do a LOT better with $1,500. This laptop is NOT worth that much money. You could custom build an AMAZING desktop for that much. You could also get a much better laptop with that kind of cash. I have no idea why this laptop's price is so high. I'd pay more like $300-450 for specs that bad.
