Pros: It probably works well.. the ones that work.
Cons: DOA. the only part that didn't work on my new build. Im not sure why I ignored the reviewers. Never again.
Other Thoughts: Just ordered another drive. About to RMA this one. I don't think I'll be doing online shopping for essential parts like this one. I hate shipping and handling times when I'm trying to get a computer working.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Using the Nvidia 730m @ 1600x900 resolution this laptop plays
- TERA at high settings ~ 45fps
- Guild Wars 2 on High settings - locked 30fps
- Alan Wake maxed ~ 40fps
- Far Cry 3 Very High - 30fps
So far, its been playing every game I throw at it with decent graphical settings. The Intel HD4000 was able to play those games with decent settings as well.
Cons: 5400rpm HDD? They still make those?
The LCD screen viewing angles are kinda bad, which could be a built in privacy protector.
Other Thoughts: I added a 250gig SSD to boot windows and install all my games in. 5400rpm drive was just painfully slow.
-- Don't do it if you're not willing to lose your investment -
I overclocked the 730m from 724mhz to 922mhz and its doing good on temps. At the price, It doesnt really matter if it burns out faster than anticipated.
