Pros: This drive is pretty quiet. I'd heard that the 1TB and larger drives have too many platters and create noise. I just got a mobo with SATA 3 capability (6.0 gb/s), but I really don't think that getting a HDD with the same spec is worth it. 32 MB cache is adequate, and games load up plenty quick. I'm happy with the read/write functioning and low noise level.
Cons: Hard drives can't read/transfer data nearly as fast as SATA 2 (3.0 gb/s) already provides, so the SATA 3 (6.0 gb/s) is just a perk.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes
Pros: Works with LGA 1155. Keeps my i5-2500 idle at 41C / 105F.
Cons: Large cooler, barely fits in my micro ATX build and almost obscures the SATA connectors for CD drives.
The airflow is in the wrong direction!!! This cooler is anti-ATX as it is presently pushing air from the back to the front of my case. This defeats the purpose of having a fan in the front of the case to draw air in.
Other Thoughts: If you can, install it backwards from the instructions and just reach the power cable the long way around.
Also, it's best to have a 2nd person help you with this install. It's tough to screw on all the bolts from the bottom using the screwdriver attachment included in the box.
Pros: The fact that it's PCI is great. It can sit inside your case and provide wireless connectivity via antennae out the back, without looking bulky or getting in the way like how some USB adapters do.
Cons: Two antennae are required for "n" level of transfer speed. It's not a con, just something you should be aware of, having two antennae sticking out the back...and they're aren't exactly short, either.READ FULL REVIEW
