Pros: Water resistant
Low power consumption
Many colors including create your own
Able to be cut to size every 3 bulbs
easy to use
Other Thoughts: When i received these to review, i knew right away where they were doing. I was putting the finishing touches on my newly built kitchen island. And since we always leave a nightlight on for our young boys in the kitchen.... These were perfect!!!!
2 amp 12 v dc = super low power consumption but great brightness. The variable colors are really cool options too everything from dimming to color fades and jumps really cool.
best part is there are an abundance of different controllers available to make these dance to music or add even more patterns and such.
While i did not have a need to test the water proof part, the light strips themselves seem to be sealed great while the other components i was a little wary of just how waterproof they would be. So i would recommend being careful of where they were placed. As the light strips are probably placed under some sort of lip or ledge i think the power adapters and such would be fine.
And because they are 12v and such low voltage the strip is perfect for automobiles as well without draining your battery. RVS boats truck beds, i plan to order more for a subwoofer enclosure in a car.
Over all i would say great bang for the buck and for me just a perfect solution. Even my wife loves them and she insisted on no light strips in the island. :)
Pros: Powered 4 items at a time where others had failed
i use it to move my rear placed usb 3.0 jack to the top of my desktop where i can use it
installed by itself on windows 8.1 though a driver disc is included.
18 month warranty if you register the product
Cons: only con i would like to see a little longer cord but you have to balance cost vs feature, and this still knocks it out of the park.
Other Thoughts: as i said in another review, the company actually listens and designs products around the customer's feedback.
Blows my mind.
I find the products to be of good quality, not feeling cheap or flimsy as can sometimes be the case with the lesser known name companies.
Pros: Slim design
inline power brick doesn't chew up outlet space
works with my phone when many don't (galaxy note 2)
7 count'em 7 usb 3.0 ports
installed with no effort on windows 8.1
Cons: only con here isn't really a con: just wish that in the high tech world we are moving to, both charging ports were 2.1 a out instead one is 2.1a, one is 1a.
Other Thoughts: Never hearing of hoo too, i was skeptical at first, i bought their wireless extender, and lost my doubt. The first generation of this device had a different shape and only 3 usb 3.0 ports, as well as the power cord had a wall wart that robbed outlets on both sides of the plug.
They took that feedback and redesigned the whole product to fix the issues that people didn't like. That is so uncommon it still blows my mind. I have never seen a company that actually listens and did something about it!
Though it sounds as i am an employee or paid advertiser, i assure i am not, Only surprised to see a small company redesign a product because of a few reviews.
