Pros: Provides much needed USB3 on older motherboards and laptops that didn't ship with USB3 ports out of the box. Newer OSes don't need a driver; newer BIOSes even see the card out of the box.
Cons: For lack of a <$1 steel bracket, I had to spend an additional $10 getting a USB3 bracket (the KINGWIN KW-PCI2USB3, if you're wondering) just to render it usable. The ports are too small to fit into a 9-pin serial or 15-pin VGA header. Out of curiosity, I checked the front headers on six different cases, and it didn't fit a single one. So I'm not sure what this was designed for.
The orientation of the power socket is terrible. On mini-ITX boards, this either blocks a port, or is up against something extremely tightly, like RAM or the heatsink. Simply having the power port pointing up would have solved that problem. Really unfortunate.

Pros: Can't say there are any.
Cons: Arrived dead. Tested in three laptops, all of which are capable of accepting up to 4GB of RAM - all failed to POST.
Other Thoughts: Used to be that Newegg's suppliers were really reliable. Supplier quality seems to have fallen.READ FULL REVIEW
