This review is from: EnGenius ENS202EXT N300 High-powered/Long-range Wireless Outdoor Access Point
Pros: finally...a product that performs as advertised. Unlike the Amped Wireless "high power" repeater I'm trying to get rid of, the ENS202EXT is performing well. I have it elevated about 10 feet and was able to surf, download files, and browse my network at 210 yards. I walked an entire 12 acre farm, up hills and down into gullies and never lost my connection, nor the youtube video I was playing. Hopefully this will perform was well on a construction site with lots of competing wifi signals. Tech support answered a few routine questions and I did not have to wait more than 10 minutes. The PoE feature means I don't have to have a plug nearby...another plus for use on our construction site. You can adjust the power level somewhat.
Cons: must download setup and manual docs online.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Amped Wireless SR600EX High Power Wireless-N 600mW Pro Smart Repeater
Pros: nice design, PoE so it can be remotely mounted
Cons: The manufacturer needs to redesign the box so they can have room for the fine print. I do not remember seeing this was designed for a point-to-point network. I did see a claim for up to 1.5 miles though tech support told me last night that wasn't possible without using their AP600EX and high-gain yagi antennas. Can you say "false advertising"?? Stick to companies like EnGenius. They have been making quality long-range wireless gear for years.
Other Thoughts: Newegg was a great source for this and other products. too bad i was in a hurry and did not read all the negative reviews.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 32-bit
Pros: great operating system once you tweak it to act like windows 7. Boots fast.
Cons: I got a misprinted key code that would not activate and it took more than TWO WEEKS of back-and-forth email and phone calls to finally send me a serial number that would activate.READ FULL REVIEW
