V7 Wireless Mobile Optical LED Mouse MV3050200-8NB Black/Gray 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB RF Wireless Optical 1600 dpi Mouse
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

Pros: none

Cons: see last post

Other Thoughts: Yeah, and now that I go to do the RMA, they'd only refund the $12 price of the mouse, not the $3 in shipping. And then they want $10 for the UPS label.

Enjoy my twelve bucks. So happy to have been able to donate it to you.

Pros: Price

Cons: Doesn't function. Would not recognize and/or pair with the reciever. Tried on multiple machines and with different sets of batteries.

Too bad I can't give zero stars. The product is a complete failure.

Other Thoughts: Not sure it's worth the bother to return because of the value. Probably just out $15.

Gateway NE52204u Notebook AMD A-Series A4-5000 (1.50GHz) 4GB Memory 500GB HDD AMD Radeon HD 8330 15.6

Pros: The primary focus of this machine is getting a lot for a little money. The specs are very nice for what it costs...and it seems to have a good feel and nice finish and generally is nice to use. Looks and feels like a $700 laptop instead of a $350 laptop.

Cons: No optical drive. Which, I knew going into it...but that guarantees no more than a 4/5 rating for the machine. For the extra cost an optical drive would add, make the machine $10 more (or $20 or whatever) and everybody would be happy. There is a blank in there where an optical drive would go - and the chassis is built to accept one, with SATA connectors in there waiting for a chance to do their thing. The slot is smaller than a traditional industry-standard optical drive one must presume that Gateway is planning on providing an optical drive as an add-on purchase.

Other Thoughts: Although...I can't really seem to find any information about such an add-on existing. Can anyone point me to where one might purchase such a thing? If the machine was ~$20 more, and included an optical drive, it'd be 5/5. While I won't need one frequently, I don't want to have to keep an external optical drive around the end of the day, based on the nominal cost increase, it's just not acceptable to *not* include the optical drive.
