This review is from: Rosewill RCW-618 USB to IDE / SATA Adapter - Supports Windows 7
Pros: I read the instructions, but it was actually faster and easier to understand by just plugging things in the tiny little RCW-618. Win7x64 recognized the RCW-618/drive assembly when I used the power switch (love this feature) to turn it on. Drivers loaded on their own (if slowly) and I formatted 9x IDE drives (2x were dead, but that isn't the RCW-618's fault) without a hitch.
Cons: I recommend completely disconnecting the USB cable when switching drives. How's that for a trivial issue?
Other Thoughts: If you are the "resident PC mechanic" get one of these. You can connect almost any non-SCSI internal device, from the not-so-recent past, to a PC and work on it.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: TRENDnet TEW-752DRU N600 High Power Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Router
Pros: quick setup
Cons: I am regretting this purchase:
1) Too much effort (re-booting the device and/or the router) is required to add a new device to the wifi.
2) The MAC filtering serves only to block adding new devices and does not seem to allow "white listed" devices to automatically join the wifi.
3) The wired ports do not automatically devices or allow internet access (requires re-booting the device and/or the router), even though the same device adds immediately to other routers.
