EZVIZ Mini HD 720p WiFi Home Security Camera with Motion Detection, 130 degree View, Night Vision, Works with Alexa using IFTTT (Special Offer 12 Month Cloud Storage w/ 7 day Playback)
  • eggxpert iconEggXpert

Pros: The EZVIZ Mini HD 720p WiFi Home Security Camera is a truly great affordable home or office WiFi Home Security Camera. The setup process is so easy to setup, and the app for my Android phone works great, is does not glitch or freeze up. I had no problems what so ever during the install process, and the product registration process. The EZVIZ app is good it seems to support up to 8 cameras and supports 64GB micro SD, Cloud Recording with Free 12-month subscription with 7-day cloud storage for the first year, and with the EZVIZ Vault 1TB for better physical storage, which I would recommend for a better cost effective solution. The 720p cameras resolution is a must have and has a zoom function and you can zoom in anywhere on the image, and has lots of great features like 30 ft. night vision, and the 115 degree viewing angle, all works excellent.

Cons: The EZVIZ Mini HD 720p WiFi Home Security Camera is so good and has a very competitive price point, small footprint, and with that being said I can truly not think anything bad to say.

Other Thoughts: The EVIZ Mini Camera is a good quality wireless camera for the money, I have had other wireless cameras in the past and the EVIZ is a lot better, these wireless cameras have come a long way in the past few years, although I have seen other multi wireless camera kits for around the same money, but that being said I would definitely recommend the EZVIZ, it has good quality resolution, solid build quality, and the app works great without issues, the only thing that I did not like is the cord length, other than that it really is a great product, I will be enjoying the EZVIZ wireless camera for the next few years.

Silicon Power Slim S55 2.5
  • eggxpert iconEggXpert

Pros: The Silicon Power S55 is fast becoming my first choice when it comes to fast affordable SSD’s.
The S55’s are really great drives; I have paid more for the bigger name brand drives that were actually slower. The controller is by PHISON and utilizes NAND flash by Toshiba. PHISON seems to be the most popular controller right now for budget minded SSD’s as so many different company are using this controller. Silicon Power Computer & Communications Inc. was founded in 2003 by a group of people in the flash data storage industry, and has sales in more than 100 countries, and has become the world’s leading manufacturer of flash memory products. The S55 has a nice aluminum casing that makes it feel like an expensive premium product. Silicon Power does have clone software that you can use; you can download it at “NTI Echo at the official site. Then replicate your original hard drive to the SSD.”

Cons: I have nothing bad to say about the S55 it has a great price and is a truly fast SSD throughout all file size transferring. The TLC NAND Flash not last as long as MLC NAND Flash but I seriously doubt you will ever know the difference.

Other Thoughts: Silicon Power will now be my go to brand when it comes to SSD’s and other Flash Products, the S55 is not my first Silicon Power SSD I also have the 240GB SSD and this 480 GB will definitely not be my last. I think the best thing to do is to get two for these and run them in Raid 0 and get over a 1 GB of Read and Write speeds, that is what I did. Here listed below are just some of the few benchmarks’ I ran the S55 through.
Test System: GA-X99-UD5 WIFI, i7-5820K@4.2GHz, 16GB@2400MHz,GTX780Ti,sli
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64

Silicon Power Slim S55 2.5

Pros: The Silicon Power S55 is an excellent SSD for the price, in my testing is just as fast if not faster than SSD’s at a higher price-point. The TLC NAND flash which means it stores 3 bits of data per cell, is a great choice for a consumer SSD because it is cheaper to manufacture but the cell survive considerably less read/write cycles compared to MLC NAND and tends to last an average of 700 terabytes and the S55 has a 3 year warranty. The S55 uses a controller by PHISON paired with 19nm MLC NAND flash by Toshiba. PHISON seems to be the most popular controller right now for budget minded SSD’s as so many different company are using this controller.
