This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-X99-UD4 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: The Gigabyte GA-X99-UD4 motherboard was an effortless install process, I used my i7-5820k and my G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 2800Mhz 16GB and did a very simple overclock up to 4.4Ghz because that's all my 5820 will seem to do. I was really impress with the quality of the UD4 , I have always been impressed with Gigabyte's products. The bios is the same Gigabyte bios that we all know, its is very easy to navigate and has the new UEFI version and classic mode which is my personal favorite. My overclock has been solid since day one. The features are just way to many to list, but I did noticed that the PCB is very ridged, and another thing that needs to be mentioned is the "6x Gold Plating" on the CPU socket and on the Dimm slots, and the Q-Flash feature, which might be needed for the future 2011v3 cpu's in Q1 2016, the board shipped with the F8 bios ver. but I quickly updated the the F9c as I always do, just habit, although I did not encounter any problems with my installation. Their is also many great software utility like, Easytune, APP Center, and V-Tuner that I almost use daily. The onboard audio is traffic in my opinion, it is the Realtek ALC1150, very common but sounds just great to me, their is no real audible difference between this and my $100+ sound card. The Ambient LED is a nice touch but it can be easily turned off in the bios or with the included software utility.
Cons: I can not honestly think of any cons as it was such an effortless build and I will be enjoying this build for many years to come.
Other Thoughts: For the last few years I have been satisfied with the quality of Gigabyte's products form their video cards and their motherboards in the past i have had about 5 Gigabyte motherboards and all are still alive and well, and really never had any major problems with them and by now I am so use to their bios's that It only takes me just a few hours to get a great a very nice stable overclock. I am always so happy to play with these boards, and my customers are also happy as well.READ FULL REVIEW
