WD Elements 2TB Desktop External Hard Drive
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs bought in nov 2012 05/11/2014

This review is from: WD Elements 2TB Desktop External Hard Drive

Pros: All 5 are working great. not USB 3.0 but working fine otherwise. Now switched to a Drobo with 5 WD Red 3tb hard drives which is thunderbolt and very fast. 27gb takes about 6min. I've had nothing but good luck with WD drives. Had a problem with a Seagate a couple times. Software issues but left a bad taste.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: used as backup drives. never any problems.

5 out of 5 eggs bought in dec 2012. still working 05/11/2014

This review is from: Rosewill REGD-TN439L0 Infrared Thermometer

Pros: Small, lightweight. Seems to be pretty accurate.

Cons: aim is a little off makes it hard to get first measurement.

Other Thoughts: Haven't really tested it aside from comparing it to house thermostat and maybe some other items with a temperature gage.

WD My Book 3TB Desktop USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Storage WDBACW0030HBK-NESN
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: USB 3.0. Size. I don't have this continuously plugged in. I like that it powers down when I dismount/unplug it. I don't have to reach for a switch, just unplug the usb cable. Has always recognized it when plugging it in to do occasional backups. I know not the best way but I feel it will extend the life of the drive.

Cons: no cons.

Other Thoughts: I've had good luck with WD products.
7 months and no problems.
I don't currently have USB 3.0 capability but will in the near future. looking forward to higher transfer rates.
