Awesome AP!
Pros: Great power, doesn't drop connection, integrated seamlessly into my home network, Easy setup (after reading reviews), POE is really slick, has auto-reset function
Cons: Manual is a bit lacking, but so is every router/AP manual I've read, POE isn't standard, but I don't have any other POE hardware so it's a non-issue
Overall Review: Awesome AP! I needed to get coverage for the deck and backyard and this little unit is fantastic! It's setup to reboot once a week automatically and it has been problem free from day 1. Make sure your network settings are 100% identical (WPA encryption mode, etc.) and this AP will blend right in to your network. Steps to a pain-free setup: 1. Router is 192.168.0.1 2. Router DHCP does .100 -.150 3. Set AP to static IP at 192.168.0.2 4. Copy wifi settings from main router 5. Reboot and you're done. The screens don't have any hand-holding, so novice users may be intimidated, but go find a techie to help you out. I will be buying a 2nd and 3rd one to improve coverage in the rest of the house
Just out of warranty and drives are failing
Overall Review: Bought 2 drives that have been in a low-end Synology NAS box - mainly backing up files and acting as a file server for media. I logged in today and noticed that both drives were marked as failing, so 6 months after the warranty expired I now have 2 drives to replace. This is the shortest time frame I've ever had hard drives start to fail, and when I went shopping for replacement drives, I learned about WD's SMR/CMR debacle, so I'm done with WD for now until they get their house in order.
Awesome little adapter!
Pros: Easy to install, low profile
Cons: blue light is a little bright
Overall Review: Great adapter. My IT department told me my docking station could only support 2 monitors - this was an easy way to add a 3rd monitor to my setup. Totally plug and play - great product
Stopped working after a few months
Pros: Cheap, arrived on time, when it worked it was great
Cons: Reliability
Overall Review: Perhaps I just got a dud, but it stopped working after a few months.
unable to do 2-day shipping
I paid extra for 2-day shipping and Noctua waited 3 days before even shipping the product out. Great products - but buy them from a different vendor
