Pros: Excellent price for a monitor of this resolution. I was pleasantly surprised, especially since I usually associate this company with cooling products, not monitors.
Also, I have never noticed this ghosting issue other reviewers seem to have. Maybe I lucked out or maybe I have low standards, but either way I have had no problems with it.
Cons: It arrived with a couple of dead pixels. Not enough to warrant a return and usually not enough to notice, but annoying none the less.
Whatever material they used to make the black frame seems to attract grime and gets dirty easier than even other black things I own.
Lastly, this is probably not the highest-performing monitor in the world, either, so look elsewhere if that's an issue for you and money is not.
This review is from: Logitech S-120 2-Piece Multimedia Computer Speaker Set w/ Headphone Jack - Black
Pros: The price was right, and I desired something easily portable for a college student that changes rooms/living spaces often. Logitech has been good to me in the past.
Cons: As soon as I plugged the thing in, one speaker started to make popping noices and then promptly died. Made in China, much? Also, the speaker that still worked had fairly low quality sound, but I guess that's to be expected. Anyway, I'm returning this P oS. for a refund.
Other Thoughts: I guess you get what you pay for.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I first bought this bundle more than two years ago. The sticks have served me well throughout this time, proving quite capable of playing recent titles such as Fallout 3 with minimal trouble.
Cons: None immediately spring to mind, other then the fact that these sticks seem a little to closely spaced when set adjacent to each other in the motherboard. This seems like it might be courterproductive to dispersing heat, which may explain why one of mine went bad (see below).
By the way, not really much of a con, but for some reason you may need to manually set the memory timings within your bias to force sticks to actually run at its rated timings of
Other Thoughts: The reason I write this review now is one of my ram sticks recently died on me. I was experiencing some unusual errors while playing games for quite a while, and a recent glitch with AVG antivirus involving stealing program focus might have finally pushed it over the edge. I ran Memtest, and surely enough the mem stick was completely done for. Things like this happen eventually so I really don't blame Patriot for it.
Since my warrenty with Newegg had long expired, I contacted Patrot Memory directly. They were quite cooperative once I explained the problem. It only took a day or so for me to get an RMA number so I could sent the stick in for replacement.
I'm currently waiting for that replacement to arrive. In the mean time, I ordered another set of sticks so that I will have a set a four. It seems like games and background programs hog more and more ram these days, so 1 or even 2 GB is no longer enough.
All in all, I've been very satisfied with Patriot Memory.
