This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Pros: Relatively quiet, even at max RPM.
Incredibly high build-quality.
Attractive. Aesthetics in computer accessories is something I go out of my way to find.
The black finish goes beautifully with almost any build.
Efficient to a fault. It makes watercooling look ridiculous for an i7-960.
New and improved mounting brackets make installation almost too easy.
Cons: Unnecessary LED. I wouldn't have minded if it didn't clash with white LEDs of the Corsair 600T.
The metal will shred your fingers/anti-static gloves. I found installing it with the plastic wrap on and cutting it off afterwards was the safest approach.
Other Thoughts: The new mounting brackets are an incredible step in the right direction. The inclusion of the long-reach allen wrench is very classy.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Corsair Graphite Series 600T Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Relatively quiet for having two 240mm fans, even at full speed.
White LEDs need more love.
Alternative 3.5" drive-cage mounting is a clever and useful touch.
Cons: USB3.0 front panel connector is a little ridiculous, though I know on-board 3.0 jumpers are still rare.
No on/off button for the lights.
Case arrived missing one motherboard stand-off and no spares were supplied. Luckily, I hoard spares.
Locking mechanism isn't incredibly firm or trustworthy, but not a deal-breaker.
Other Thoughts: All-in-all, this is one of the most fun and practical enthusiast cases I've ever built in, but now I've been spoiled and want more. My little gripes hardly hold a candle to the pros.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Eats games alive and shows no mercy.
Running stock it plays Crysis and Crysis 2 with everything maxed out at a smooth 60+ fps at 1920x1200. (Mated with an i7-960 and 12GB DDR3-12800)
Runs very cool for a card with this much power.
Cons: Slightly loud, but effectively cooled.
Included 6-to-8pin power adapter is a nice consideration. All high-end card manufacturers should do this.
Other Thoughts: Make absolutely certain you have 2 spare 6(+2)pin PCI-E power connectors. The 6970 can get very hungry.READ FULL REVIEW
