Pros: Cools very well. Option to really crank it up with fan controller. Looks cool. I drilled a hole in the empty space on my MB's face-plate and the cord reaches it just fine and I don't have to open the case to adjust it. I am a big system fan guy and for me there is room for 3 fans using this cooler. I love the V-shape.
Cons: Fan is loud when you run it at max. I only run it at max for bench-marking and don't have any overheating issues on the much quieter, slower speed so it works for me.
Other Thoughts: Take your motherboard out to install this cooler. It is too easy to apply pressure unevenly during installation which can cause improper spreading of the thermal paste. The die size of an AMD processor is indicated in the picture on the box it came in. I looked online for a picture of an uncapped FX processor and finally found a fuzzy one. I was going to actually call AMD to ask what the die size is when I saw the picture on my FX-6100's box. The middle white part of the picture matched up with the uncapped picture I found online. The die size for an FX processor is smaller than the cap by a noticeable margin so even if it doesn't entirely cover the cap, the die is being cooled properly. The other AMD processor series have different die sizes and may/may not have the die covered completely by this cooler.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very fast
Cons: This second drive failed after 1 month, the first drive which OCZ had replaced with this one failed after two months. I see a pattern here. I also took a REALLY close look at the circuit board and I see pitting on the materials that this is made of. I suspect OCZ is passing damaged drives off as refurbished.
Other Thoughts: Why is the failure rate for OCZ refurbished drive so high compared to other companies. From what I have observed under the microscope with MY eyes looking at THIS circuit board leads me to believe that OCZ is taking new products which have been damaged during manufacture or otherwise then OCZ is selling these damaged drives as refurbished and after six months no more warranty no more problem for OCZ.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Only seven bucks, neat fan, snaps right on my amd3+ easily
Cons: Terrible at cooling efficiently and thermal paste is junk and not large enough for fx processor please put some in a tube or small ketcup packet like thing on the side. If we are replacing a heat sink we can apply the compound ourselves thank you.
Other Thoughts: worth it for the fan and as a short term, inexpensive fix for a failed cpu cooler and remember to dial it back a notch if using thisREAD FULL REVIEW
