Pros: Awesome in a nutshell. Popped in all my components and it booted right away. I had an Asus board before this but the PCIe slot was busted and their customer support team is garbage so I decided to not waste any more time after 3+ RMAs and just picked up this board when it was on sale. It has Two SATA 6 ports perfect for any SSDs as well as a neat LED which tells you how clean your power is. The PCIe slots are spaced out nicely so you can have extra HUBs or wifi adapters even if you're running a crossfire/SLI setup. It has sufficient 4pin fan headers which takes advantage of my h75 PWM fans and the DIMMs are spaced out enough so you can mount a Hyper 212.
Other Thoughts: Updating the bios can be a real hassle, I tried and could not do it and just left it with what it had.READ FULL REVIEW
Cons: This must be a joke. This is my third time with the same board with the same problem. I RMAed the board like Asus said I would and received the same piece of garbage board with the same problem. It has been well over 2 months and I am getting really irritated with the customer support. I bought this board because they had JJ represent Asus on Newegg TV, saying how their support and parts are top of the line and that they rarely have problems. Looks like that was a lie. I don't understand why the blue PCIe slot would just stop working, while the other two still works. I updated the bios and even tried multiple cards with no luck.
Why can't they fix a simple PCIe problem?
Other Thoughts: Don't get me wrong, I see Asus from the other side too. I have bought motherboards from them before, and only 1-2 have completely failed out of 20+. However, once they mess up, they come down crashing and burning. They will want you to send the board in (you pay shipping), they receive it and inspect it, and they will give you some reason like the pins are bent or you you need to pay a service fee. Sure, you might have not received a lemon board like me and are satisfied with your product, but for the ones who DID receive a bad board and rated 1 egg, they have their reasons. My reason is how I gave them three times to remedy my situation and nothing changed. I want a refund to buy a Gigabyte, MSi, or Asrock motherboard. The Asus live chat representative made me do pointless troubleshooting steps and wasted my time. All my components work on my MSi and Asrock board, but not on this Asus board.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I got the RMA motherboard back.
Cons: It still had the same problem + many dirt marks on the body and ports of the board. I was told to try all my components as maybe one of them is malfunctioning. I am using all the same parts on an MSi board and they all work flawlessly.
Other Thoughts: It took Asus about a month to get the board back to me. Eager as I was to finally get a working board back, it still had the same problem and appeared that mud was thrown on it. I would like to thank Marcus from LiveChat for creating another ticket for another RMA. I was told that the RMA boards are all tested before they are sent back to the customers but apparently they didn't test this one. I will wait for the third board. If it fails, I am quitting on Asus.READ FULL REVIEW
