This review is from: Black USB Wireless Gaming Controller Receiver Adapter For PC Windows 7 Xbox 360
Pros: Fast response time when using a 360 controller for input. Connects immediately once you've got it set up (see cons). During mic calibration in Teamspeak, Mumble, and RaidCall your mic audio sounds decent. Not Bose quality, but certainly way better than cheap headsets, and no one on my servers has complained yet. I've always liked 360 hardware, and this will definitely pair them up with your rig.
Cons: This can be a bit tricky at first install. Skip the included disc entirely and download the Xbox receiver software straight from Microsoft (a quick google search will bring you right there). Then go to your device manager and manually install the wireless driver from the "Let me choose" option.
Other Thoughts: Be sure to turn off hardware updates in Windows Update. Otherwise, Windows will install what it believes to be a better driver and your mic will quit working.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: PNY Attache 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model P-FD8GBATT-03-GE
Pros: Very reasonable price for capacity
Good size (physically)
Decent transfer rates
Cons: Shield on dongle is designed to protect it from bending and impact, but it does not stop debris from entering. Not worth knocking off an egg, as it's still an excellent product.
Other Thoughts: I bought three of these and they have not failed me once. All three have been utilized as boot media.
One for Windows 7 (along with all the software I'd install on a new system).
One for my penetration testing and disc imaging.
And one for ESXi and all the VM software for virtualization. All work flawlessly.
This review is from: Logitech 980186-0403 Silver USB Connector USB Desktop Microphone
Pros: Sturdy base.
Clean audio capture.
Cons: Even at 30%, it's super sensitive. It will definitely pick up any background noise, even if it's seemingly quiet.READ FULL REVIEW
