This review is from: ADATA S599 AS599S-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons: Worked for several months, then just died...sometimes it shows up for a few seconds, but not long enough to read anything off drive. I know that it probably just needs a firmware update, but it's not possible to do when ADATA's own firmware upgrade tool won't see the drive. SHAME ON YOU ADATA for selling a known defective drive to people and not offering any easy way to contact you to resolve problems.
Other Thoughts: I called the support # given in other posts here over 10 times, but nobody ever answers. I left messages every time and have not received any reply. ADATA is a JOKE. Buy something else! SHAME ON YOU ADATA for selling a known defective and incomplete drive to people and not offering any easy way to contact you to resolve problems.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This little box packs a big punch. Decent as a desktop and great for a HTPC. I'm running Win 7 32bit with 2GB ram and a 64 gig solid state drive. Run's pretty cool and very responsive for it's size. It can run 64 bit, but I'd try and get the 4 gig stick for that. Unfortunately, I could not find one on this site, so I went with the 2 gig for now. Definitely get the stick with a Cas Latency of 5!
Cons: Rates a 1.0 for the Windows 7 Experience...mostly because graphics leave a bit to be desired, but I wasn't expecting to be able to play Battlefield 3 on it.
Other Thoughts: I'm going to try it with XP and ubuntu. And I want to test a regular 500GB hard drive too, but I have a feeling it will run too hot and burn out the board over time. There's a weak, but silent fan for the atom cpu. Run's very quiet, except for the built in speaker which works better than my laptop speakers, nice touch! Unfortunately, no fan to help cool the HD or memoryREAD FULL REVIEW
