This review is from: LG Nexus 4 E960 Black 3G Quad-Core 1.5GHz 16GB Unlocked Cell Phone
Pros: contract free! 41 mbps radio that has been proven to work with LTE-> 4.2.2 update removes feature to enable radio in LTE. gorilla glass II is amazing- no scratches since purchase during initial release. The performance is amazing and the screen is great, games aps fly and look great at 60hz which is def a noticeable difference, has miracast, stock droid with updates directly from google
Cons: no micro sd card, no OTG cable (progress has been made to activate host mode manually) glass backing dangerous because easily slips and drops, battery sucks- bad- and can't be replaced- unable to open. Camera does ok in daylight but is pretty bad otherwise. JellyBean doesn't allow Facebook to sync- had to use a step around ap and still don't have all my numbers assiciated with facebook
Other Thoughts: I honestly think is a great buy. I purchased from google direct when it first came out and only bought the 8 gig, but it was still worth it. I paid to break my contract with AT-T and switched to a $30 unlimited t'mobile contract that only has 100 minutes airtime included- really ONLY- still saves a bundle!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Amazing! haven't been able to get this card to skip a beat yet- assassins creed III, Metro2033, Warhead 40000: Space Marine, Walking Dead- all look amazing in 1080p all options maxed.
Cheaper than some 660 TI's.
Also the size and thickness isn't bad for the performance capability.
Cons: NO HDMI CABLE! overview states that included is a bonus 6ft hdmi to hdmi cable but newegg rep says the overview is not guaranteed? Really just a gripe over a $9 cable I didn't have to connect to tv.
Loses an egg because of annoying fan noise and warranty being void if you change it out.
"World in Conflict" min FPS were not much faster than my 8800GT in the benchmark which is kind of suspicious.
only shaved 20-30 minutes off my blu ray ripping. I have been moving my collection from blu rays to network library/drive and was hoping to speed up the process. Times improved but I expected better results.
Also reason for losing an egg is if you have a 3d hdtv and want 3d, you will need to buy additional drivers off nvidia site. if you have the 3dvision though it works outright.
Other Thoughts: "Thank you for that information. Please note that we do not guarantee information under Overview. We only guarantee information under details and item pictures. Thank you for your understanding." was response for no video cable.... which is funny because who ever does anything but look at the reviews, pictures, and list of details. whatever, first issue after I don't know how long I've been shopping here!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: D-Link SharePort Go Mobile Companion Rechargeable Battery (DIR-506L)
Pros: Router Mode/Access Point Mode/Repeater Mode/Wi-Fi Hot Spot Mode/DNLA and portable on battery power! Size is a plus and makes convenient. This lil thing is amazing! I was able to set it up as an internet hotspot while connecting it to another wifi network to provide internet to my personal network. The dnla feature allows to sidestep the d-link app. I was able to upload from my phone to usb drive a while of having to figure it out. Best thing was I had my usb flash media reader working with a micro sd card. Both fat32 and ntfs worked but a large (9 gig) mp4 did not recognize- may be the usb though. Came loaded with latest firmware. Swivel stand is nifty. More options that I know what to do with!
Cons: software is a lil quirky and seems basic as far as cloud service goes. Wish it were intigrated with other app's share feature. I noticed that it needed to be rebooted often when changing usb drives. 1700MAH is none too impressive but seems to get the job done. Nothing severe enough to crack any eggs.
Other Thoughts: great alternative to the wi-di devices which are not up-gradable; plus usb drives are getting cheaper. Needed this after finding out that the OTG cable might not be available for my Nexus 4. I can see this thing coming in handy when going on trips or for use at the office. Purchased while as shell-shocker deal but could see being satisfied if purchased full price. I recommend using the browser-based setup over the QRS app.READ FULL REVIEW
