great for claw-ers or small hands
Pros: lots of buttons easy setup/programming nibs on buttons help you find out where they are quality/sound build looks good. nice lighting but can turn off if like. super smooth motion.
Cons: if you like to rest your palm on your mouse then this mouse is NOT for you. for example if you've used those BIG ms or logitech mice (most casual desktop mice are like this) then this mouse is NOT for you. its too small. its mean to be grabbed with claw hands - your palm NOT touching the mouse. (it is NOT like the deathadder.) this is only a con IF you like to palm your mouse (which most do) and only a con IF you don't have small hands. other con might be that the buttons are too small and too close together. if you check razerzone's site you can see they might have addressed this on their swtor naga and an upcoming naga-like mouse with only slighty fewer but BIGGER and more spaced out buttons. also con - the 2 butttons next to the left click are quite small and difficult to click. you really have to bend your finger and hunt for it. they provide a trainer - stickers you can put on buttons to find them more easily. but if its too small and you palm no amount of training may
1 year update - buyers beware. get an extended warranty
Pros: great price. large size. decent picture. (adjust settings as ppl are saying.)
Cons: mine started wiggin out on me 2 weeks after the year mark. i called and they said looked like a panel issue and since so recently out of warranty, they'd fix it. but then it started working again within a week. decision time. i had no replacement for the 3-4 weeks it'd be gone and it'd cost me 50 bucks to ship...so i kept it. 2 months later it broke again. same thing. but this time it didn't fix itself. i called again and they had record of my previous problem - a problem that essentially occured under warranty. but...well you know what happened. they don't go by when it breaks, but when you ship it. said im out of luck. but they'll fix it for 125 instead of the normal 200. when it all comes down to it, i bought a monitor that didn't last much more than a year and that sucks.
Overall Review: ill get it back before christmas i hope. and i hope it doesn't come back and break again or come back with a ton of dead pixels. that will be really lame.
great picture and widescreen
Pros: after playing at 21:9 its hard to go back to 16:9. the extra space on the sides comes in very handy in games and in putting windows side by side. people say they miss the height. well, i compensated for that by putting the task bar on the side. and when i want to see the rest of the web page, i scroll. :) you can hide the task bar too. that helps. but i like it showing so that's why i put it on the side. there are pros and cons though for sure. i have a dual monitor setup. actually this and a 37in 1080p TV. so when i really miss the size of the screen and height - i do whatever i'm doing on my tv. otherwise i use this 29in.
Cons: slight corner backlight bleed in the two left corners. enough that whenever the screen is dark, i notice the light hint in the corners.
tall and wide and works
Pros: senses the mouse just fine. have tried other pads and sometimes the mouse doesn't pick up the pad. (have a naga mouse.) also, because it's not hard, you don't have to have your table top exactly, perfectly level and smooth. hard pads can wobble when things aren't perfect. wide and tall enough such that you never run out of space.
Cons: has started to fade a little where i rest my wrist. hasn't frayed at all, which is good, though.
Overall Review: best, most reliable, cheapest in it's class pad i've used.
most comfy mouse ive had
Pros: if you have fairly large hands and especially if you like to palm your mouse (rest nearly youre whole hand on your mouse) then this will probably be one of the most comfy mice for you. there are other large palm mice and if you like those you'll probably really like this. what sets this apart from others is the side button placement. they are perfectly placed. you can rest your thumb and easily and quickly hit the thumb buttons. another pro is it looks really good. you can turn the lights off if you like. another pro is how easy it is recognized in your games. hit the thumb button when asked to assign a key and the game recognizes it. if it doesnt you can set it up to be recognized in the game via the razer software. very easy. quality build and of course very smooth motion.
Cons: only con is i really really wish they'd add 2 more buttons just below the current 2 side buttons for a total of 4. they went all the way to 17 with the naga tho. :D
meh
Pros: good looking design. i like the matte black instead of the glossy black. i like the heavier feel. i like the smaller keyboard and the feel of the keys. got it at another place on sale for 350 after tax.
Cons: the mouse is flaky. it does not move smoothly around the screen. when you scroll with it the scroll bar does not move smoothly but it spurts. its just the way the mouse works. sampling rate or something. next the screen. you can see the meshing in the screen. its like looking through a screen door. lastly all the ports are forward on this laptop. kind of awkward plugging stuff up front rather than in the back and out of the way.
Overall Review: i just figured a laptop should get the screen and mouse right. if all you care about is size of screen and that you can see stuff on it and that you can point and click at stuff - then this will work. but what laptop doesnt do such?
