SAMSUNG 850 EVO-Series MZ-75E250B/AM 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: None, just about the same performance of my aging 830 EVO

Cons: Just for the record I'm a IT manager in a Advertising Agency. I purchased this drive to replace my 18 month+ Samsung 830 Evo SSD, to be honest there is no big difference in performance between my 830 and this 850. This 850 EVO only lasted 3 weeks and came up booting with a BSOD, my old 830 is still going strong.

Other Thoughts: I know SSD performance varies a lot in real world, but this 850 EVO is very unstable on the SSD user benchmark, i guess that Samsung will issue a firmware update soon, i purchased this SSD the very first week released.

NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Router (R7000)
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Goes a lot of time without power cycles or problems, extremely stable under hi loads of network traffic, i have 15 devices connected to this beast, it handles all the traffic you throw at it, and i mean "real hard network traffic" i can not be any happier with this beast.

Cons: This thing is huge, Only four data ports makes it practically unusable without a switch, wireless range is quite good even so i have concrete walls, GUI should be improved, its kind of "OLD CLASSY". Ready Shared USB is not worth a penny, you will do better with any other media server or NAS..

Other Thoughts: Excellent for hi tech homes, mid size offices, you can add multiple switches.

If you're looking for a high performance network traffic manager, you should take a serious look at this one

Shuttle KD20 Network Storage

2 out of 5 eggs Not Good, Slower Than Expected 12/22/2013

This review is from: Shuttle KD20 Network Storage

Pros: Great price, transfer speed is somewhat slow at an average of 40MBps,

Cons: slow for booting, for drive recognition, slow for transfer, have to wait about 90 seconds to be able to open a folder while unit is in sleep mode.

GUI is somewhat antiquate,

Other Thoughts: Great Design
