This review is from: LOGISYS Computer ML12RD 12" 18 LED Super Bright Sunlight Stick
Pros: These are pretty great. Very bright and throw off a ton of light. I could definitely have gotten away with one, but I have two in my case so I don't have any shadows.
Cons: The glue on the velcro patches isn't the best. I have the sticks hung vertically from the top of my case, and I had problems with them falling down. But I had some gorilla glue lying around, and now they're fantastic.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Move a good amount of air, looks pretty snazzy.
Cons: This one fan is louder than everything else in my setup combined. UGH its so loud. I only have them plugged in around half the time because they're so annoying.
Other Thoughts: If you're on a tight budget and can deal with a little noise, these look great and are good fans.
If you have some money to spend, look for something quieter.
This review is from: Microsoft 5SH-00001 Black USB RF Wireless Standard Desktop 800 for Business
Pros: Seems to work well most of the time, on/off switch is nice for infrequent use. Receiver fits into mouse and has a very small footprint, which is great if you're using it with a laptop.
Cons: Don't expect to get a ton of range from it. I have some problems using it in the next room (HDMI cable runs from my desktop to the TV in the other room). The keyboard works almost all the time, but the mouse ends up being jerky and difficult to control.
Other Thoughts: This is strictly a secondary keyboard and mouse for me, for which they are serviceable. I would imagine using the mouse at shorter range with direct line of sight would make it much more responsive.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for. If anything will do, this is a decent set that will get you by. If you're looking for something with a more robust connection, I would keep looking.
