Pros: Cheap, good specs, great built-in cooler, quiet. When it does display
Cons: I'm getting a STACK of graphic glitches and streaking while running DX games. Tried about six different Catalyst versions, including Crysis hotfix from ATI as well as "legit" PowerColor drivers from CD and their site. Tried various monthly releases of DX 9.0c. Tried various CC settings - nothing. Tried everything I've see on various forums. Blew away all traces of old nVidia drivers with DriverCleaner. I have a 600W p/s. Plus, every driver version gives a mystery "Zero Driver Service" error when installing, the KB on ATI's site says they have no idea what causes it, despite writing the software that THROWS the error. Great.
Other Thoughts: At first glance it seems like a great card, but no card should be showing the graphic flickers I'm seeing on boring. legit 3D games. My nVidia 7600GT never had a single problem. I'll try some more tweaks and drivers but if it doesn't clear up it's RMA time. This is my first Radeon and first impressions are far from stunning.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This drive has burned CDs and DVDs flawlessly for me for about a year now. Bought it based on really good reviews.
Cons: However, I just bought a 50-spindle of Ritek D01 DVD+R DL's, which is the first time I have attempted to burn DL media. It doesn't work! I've made 10 coasters, tried about 5 different firmware versions including the latest. THEN I read on the web that there are incompatibilities. What the?
Other Thoughts: Okay drive, but don't count on it burning your DL media. I read that Verbatim is better. That doesn't help me right now.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Airnet AWD154 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates
Pros: Bought 2 of these. One is in my wife's PC and works fine. One was in my PC and worked fantastic until I upgraded motherboard..
Cons: Once I switched to a Core2Duo E6400 on an ASROCK 775 Dual-VSTA mobo, things started going wrong. I cannot delete the device from windows! "Windows requires this device to boot up" is what I see. Card now works for about maybe 1-10 minutes then network stack dies and I have to reboot. Weirdest thing. I guess it's incompatible with the mobo.
Other Thoughts: Giving this to a friend and will probably buy a card that has higher reviews on Newegg. It's not like they're expensive or anything, but I sure as heck hope the next one can actually be removed from device manager if I so choose!READ FULL REVIEW
