Pros: Beautiful display, I would argue it's top 3 if your looking for an ultrawide gaming monitor, and easily the best if your looking for a freesync compatible ultrawide.
Colors are rich, really pop, it's very light for its size, looks great, along with the stand.
Cons: There is some backlight bleed, not too bad unless your have a black background, not really too noticeable otherwise. Seems to be a common problem with all ultrawide screens in this price range and cheaper.
Other Thoughts: Freesync 1440p ultrawide, 75hz refresh IPS, only a higher refresh rate could have made this any better, it's d---- near perfect otherwise, however it's pricey, and the wife reminded me of this many times lol, would but againREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Multi tasking workhorse, great upgrade for content creation,
Cons: not much of an over clocker, not really great for gaming YET, once DX12 comes around along with better multi core support on PC games, this CPU *should* get a huge boost.
more expensive then it really should be imho
Other Thoughts: Runs relatively cool, OC as a daily driver at 4.2 Ghz water cooled, can run at 4.5 Ghz but i prefer lower temps right now, and it eats anything you throw at it even at 4.2READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is a another great quality board from Asus, they are asking a pretty high premium though. Lots of Bells and whistles, lots of tools to make an overclockers job easier.
Cons: I blame this more on the chipset being so new, rather than asus, because this is affecting other x99 boards as well.
Dedicated soundcards, atleast PciE are having issues on this board. I have an Asus Xonar Essence STX, great soundcard, and it would not work on this chipset!
After some searching I found that after placing the PC in Sleep-mode, once its awakened the SoundCard is functional again. This appears to be only affecting people who have a single graphics card and a PciE soundcard.
Other Thoughts: I home the issues with the soundcards gets addressed soon, although many people have been having the same issues, Asus reports they have not been able to duplicate the problem.
