This review is from: Tt eSPORTS MEKA G1 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Black KB-MEG005US
Pros: Good price for a mechanical keyboard. Feels very sturdy, thick cabling, this thing feels like it will last a long time.
Very very responsive in games, I upgraded from a logitech wireless keyboard and while it isn't a game changer for FPS games it is definitely noticeable in playing a RTS like Starcraft.
No windows key on the left side, it is replaced by a FN key.
Cons: Keys are not lazer etched and are already starting to fade! This is the key reason for me to give it a 4star review. While I have been playing a lot of CSGO recently the WASD have already started to fade after only a few weeks. My old logitech wireless was used for years and the keys show no sign of wear.
FN Key and the f1-f7 keys do not respond as quickly as I'd like. I use the FN and Volume key while I game and whatnot and they just are not incredibly responsive like I want. Not worth drawing off on the score, but just something to note.
Other Thoughts: The switches require a little more actuation force than i'm use to and my fingers have had to adjust for sure. My fingers get a little tired after a lot of typing, but the overall experience is still positive. I am able to type faster and more accurately while typing on this verse my old logitech.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Boombug Bluetooth Portable Mini Premium Speaker - SPLBT12-1, Black
Pros: I picked one if these up on sale for about $25 total and for that price this thing is great. This model uses Bluetooth and has pretty decent range, id say 50ft direct line of sight. I use it at work since I work in a lab and people who come to talk to me while it is playing are always confused on where the music is coming from. This model sounds a little better than the cheaper boombugs as it has more bass and a little less distortion at higher volumes. Battery life is around 4-5 with just Bluetooth and near full volume, maybe a little longer than that. If you use the headphone jack, the battery lasts 8 hours easily.
I ended up buying a second one of these for my younger sister while on sale again for about $25. I probably wouldn't buy this at $50-60 again, but anything under that and it's an awesome deal. If I didn't have a bluetooth speaker already(I'm talking about me buying my second as a gift), these are a great option at $50-60. I use to own a jawbone and I honestly will never buy their product again, I recommend theses over jawbone due to price and quality ratio alone.
Cons: Unfortunately while using Bluetooth you can not use it's headphone jack port. This unit does not allow daisy chaining with the smaller cheaper version while using Bluetooth. You can however daisy chain using its headphone port as the end of a chain with Bluetooth off.
Other Thoughts: For sh!ts and giggles after buying one cheap version and being impressed with it I decided to buy this version in silver and a second non Bluetooth model. While I could use the Bluetooth a "hub" as a sort and use all three speakers wirelessly, I could have it connected to the chain via headphone jack. With three of theses units going in a chain, two 11-2 models and one 12-1, these pump out very impressive sound. Id say close to or more than a single jawbone.
After owning jawbone and having its super flimsy charge port break, I recommend these boombugs over it by a large margin. Jawbone has horrible support for such a large company and does not honor warranties of gifts or people who do not have original receipts.
While I can't comment on boombugs warranty as I haven't had issues. the fact that it uses mini USB vs micro USB is a major plus. Micro USB is just too flimsy and weak of a port for continued use, the mini is much more durable and more suited for a portable speaker like these boombugs.
Overall I recommend!
This review is from: Boombug SPLW11-1 BLK Portable Mini Premium Speaker
Pros: Small size, great battery, decent sound considering size, and finally fantastic price for quality.
Cons: None bluetooth model. Very short 3.5mm jack, male connection only. You need a female to make extension if you want a lnger cable. You can replace the cable with a longer one easily. Not other removing a star though.
Other Thoughts: I picked up 2 of these for 12-13$ each wanting to have as all chain of speakers for my work place. I originally had one and whil,e impressed I wanted more. These guys daisy chain by plugging not each other and wek very well. Note you can not use a Bluetooth model as the main input and have theses small units powered by it unfortunately. The Bluetooth model sounds a little better than these smaller units with just the headphone jack, that model has a little more bass than these but costs more. I highly recommen these speakers for the price hen on sale. They are honestly worth the 20-25$ while not on sale too. My experience with baterry life has been in the 6-8 hours of loud volume levels, very respectable for the price and weight.READ FULL REVIEW
