SAPPHIRE TRI-X OC 100362-2SR Radeon R9 290 4GB 512-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Runs quiet and can run most current games on Ultra settings

Cons: The card died after 2 months. I turned my pc one day and nothing showed up. I checked everything and the card just died. I have noticed that a lot of people have had this issue.

Other Thoughts: This is a great card when it works but I would suggest that you find something else until they fix whatever is causing the high failure rate.

IOGEAR GBU521 USB Bluetooth 4.0 Micro Adapter

1 out of 5 eggs Died after 1 week 08/25/2014

This review is from: IOGEAR GBU521 USB Bluetooth 4.0 Micro Adapter

Pros: small profile and has a decent range.

Cons: As stated in the title, the adapter stopped working after one week of use. I tried it on different USB ports in my computer and even on other computers but it was just dead.

Other Thoughts: This adapter worked well but I was disappointed that it stopped working so soon, especially since it is priced at $25. I have recently purchased the ASUS USB-BT400, which has worked perfectly for at least two weeks now. So I would recommend that if are looking for a Bluetooth adapter, you should go with the ASUS.

MSI Z97-Gaming 7 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

4 out of 5 eggs MSI Z97 Gaming 7 review 08/25/2014

This review is from: MSI Z97-Gaming 7 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: The first Z97 gaming 7 motherboard was completely dead on arrival but thanks to Neweggs excellent customer care, I received a replacement board within a week. The motherboard itself is durable and feels well made. If you are into showing off your build, the black and red accents are really nice and would fit well with a lot of color schemes. The gaming 7 has a lot of ports (SATA, USB3.0, etc.) and it even has a M.2 port (which is a really nice way to save space in your PC and to have a super fast boot drive for Windows).

Cons: I dont have many cons for this board except that the BIOS is a little clunky and the menus could be presented better. Also, DO NOT update the BIOS using their update utility in Windows!!! It has not happened to me but having read a lot of forums, other people have noticed that updating the BIOS from Windows will brick their system. MSI needs to remove this feature from their update utility.

Other Thoughts: After having the motherboard for a month now, I would probably have either bought the Z97 gaming 5 to save some money or just bought the gaming 9, which has integrated bluetooth and wifi.
