Pros: worked for awhile--failed about six weeks after I got it.
Cons: ASUS said they'd give me an RMA number in January, but itnever came. To be fair, they probably realized I had this for about six weeks before it failed and decided I wasn't eligible for repair.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: price was good here on the egg for this refurb, basic Google apps seem to work fine, handy to carry around if your in the middle of watching something.
Cons: Can never replace a full sized keyboard and monitor of course, hard to imaging doing any work on a tablet. I had to give it a way to pay for Google play, even though I wasn't ready to buy anything--seems to go through the process of charging you 0 for free items (for instance, I downloaded a free book on Google play, it insisted I give it my Paypal password)
Other Thoughts: Never had a tablet before, not sure I will use it much but it was nice for my kid the other day who was home sick from school to watch cartoons in bed.
I goofed and plugged it in for data before discharging it fully the first time (you are supposed to run the battery down fully the first time, so don't plug in to anything before running it down that first time!). But after the second charge I think I got about five hours which seems okay, which I'd been perfect.
Pros: regarding comments about fan noise: I assembled a second PC with this case, but this time used a different motherboard that is able to throttle the case fan down, bliss! Five stars with the right motherboard. For noisy PCs I have since bought a couple of those fan rheostats for noisy PCs.
Cons: none with the right motherboard, or a fan rheostat, I'm going to try this device on a couple of noisy PCs
