Pros: Bios has more choices than carter has pills to tweek system. Great looking board.Played well with my drives, ram and video card. 4 slots at 1866 for 16GB. Good WEI score and top passmark score. No need to upgrade bios.
Cons: Two cons I have but will not take off an egg. With a mid tower case an bottom power supply gave me a 1/16 inch to connect a extra power molex tp video card slots. My GT 640 did not need it. Now a top mount PSU or Full tower case would not be a problem. Also it turns out I had 2 reg PCI cards that I could not mount ( TV tuner and WIFI card ) but my fault for not checking, Fix was USB WIFI and order PCIe x1 tuner.
Other Thoughts: No older PCI slots was my H@LY CR&P BATMAN MOMENT
16 GB 1866
Kingston 120GB SSD
WD Green 1 TB
Zoyac GT 640
Gives me an 12 second full cold boot
Pros: Low heat shields and rare Gold color. Runs cool and passes all memory tests.
Other Thoughts: This is directed to the whiners. Just because you bought 2400 speed does not guarantee you can run at or close to that speed. I bought these knowing I can not get close to 2400 but run 4 sticks at 1600 with a buffer knowing ram is not maxed out. Here is a dirty little secret on AMD memory
Pros: Not gaudy bling shields Passes all my ram tests.
More speed than I could use. Future speed buffer when I need it
Other Thoughts: To some whiners Just like taking your car to 300 MPH race track doesn't guarantee your car will run 300 MPH.
Buying 2400 ram by no means guarantees your motherboard and CPU can even run or get along with 2400 speed. I bought this ram knowing it won't run 2400 on my MB but 1866 was native for MB and CPU. But found out MB with all 4 slots filled, only will support 1600 period. I was running 1833 till I filled the slots. By the way INTEL now likes higher speed ram and AMD does not, witch was not always the case.
