Great for the money
Pros: Great buy for the price. Paid $159 for it + $20 mail in rebate. Can handle everything I throw at it with reasonable settings. Free factory overclocking is nice too.
Cons: Runs HOT, but that's just how they are making them these days, and I'm sure the overclocking isn't helping cool it off any either ;)
Just busted this thing
Pros: -
Cons: -
Overall Review: I've been working on this thing for the past month or so. Never had any problems with it. Today, however, I had to move my laptop around, and unknown to me, the cap and chain somehow managed to wedge itself in a crack in my desk. When I lifted my laptop up, the drive bent horribly and now only works if it is bent (I have to hold down on the tip of it in order for windows to detect it). I knew I should have removed that stupid cap, but I didn't imagine something like this would happen.
Works like its supposed to
Pros: Fast and works like it is supposed to.
Cons: The heat sink gets very loud after a few minutes of intense working, but that's what happens when you use the stock cooling.
Good just about everywhere
Pros: Layout is very nice. My graphics card currently is not blocking anything :D The board comes with some nice accessory software, the ASUSGate is interesting (though I don't think I will ever use it), DDR3 memory, 2 PCI-E 2 slots, what else do you need?
Cons: The on-board sound card is absolutely horrible. If you get this board and intend to listen to music, videos, gaming, etc. you will need to buy a sound card for the board. Aside from constant static, the quality is absolutely horrendous.
Bought on a whim
Pros: 4Gigs of storage, retractable USB connector.
Cons: Not very fast. Copying from my harddrive -> this, I MAX out at roughly 3.60 Mb/s. This is fine for most things, but once you start transferring larger files, the delay will be very noticable.
Works as expected
Pros: Does what it's supposed to. The blue lights make it look nice and busy.
Cons: One of the USB ports is on the round, pointed end of the HUB (not a big deal, though the placement could have been better.. you can see it in the pics). The cords included are very short as others have stated. The USB cable can't be more than 3 ft. and the power cable can't be more than 4ft.
Overall Review: The device is much smaller than I expected... it is roughly the size of a cell phone.
