This review is from: Rosewill RCW-H9015 DVI-D (24+1) to HDMI Adapter
Pros: Cheap. Small. Came in an attractive Mylar bag. 5 eggs for packaging because the cats really like the box it came in. 0 eggs for bonehead (me) who ordered the wrong part.
Cons: I ordered the wrong gender. My fault entirely for not actually looking at what I was connecting from and to. Not Newegg's fault.
Other Thoughts: Not worth the hassle to return a $3.99 part, so I guess it will go into the junk drawer. This would probably work if you could somehow plug the monitor directly into the DVI port without a cable in between.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Small, simple, quiet, easy to assemble and configure. Best legroom in its class too -- it hides on the desk behind the monitor, rather than loudly taking up space on the floor. Did I mention it's QUIET?
Cons: 1 IDE really means one IDE drive and one only. I was hoping to reuse the DVDR and one of the hard drives from the donor PC, but no dice, even with a cable with connectors for both drives (the Shuttle comes with a nice round IDE cable with one drive connector only). Still, it was worth a try.
Other Thoughts: I got this PC to replace an aging Dell that was starting to fail. It's nicely designed, easy to put together, and wonderfully quiet compared to the wheezing, demented old box it replaced. I see more of these in my future, and will recommend them for friends and family who need to upgrade.READ FULL REVIEW
