Pros: its small and light very small footprint. it also works perfectly for me (i am on a charter 10meg connection single dedicated input from the telephonepole to the modem & charter's best wire).in my setup i am running after the modem a 4 port hub then 2 routers(gameing) and i have 2 seperate ip's that flow thru this unit. i can run any game no problem plus i have even ran my own game server that players world wide played on thru this setup !! so that should give you a idea of what it CAN do..
oh, and i see some said it cant handle more than one system running on it lol i have 5 pc's but again they are state of the art custom built and i can run all at once for example a game server on one and others surfing as well as one playing on a different game..
Cons: ok now the bad, well the only reason i gave it 4 stars is if you do not have a very good connection IE;dedicated feed to the modem that is NOT split to feed televisions or ect. you can get problems running high mbs. aplications ..
so if you pay for a 10 mbs or like gameing connection and dont have a dedicated line to feed the modem then you might try the modem offered by your provider. other than that it is very good
Other Thoughts: remember as with anything if you buy a very good part the rest of your system needs to be equal to it or you will not get peak preformance. so if your system is stock (like your coaxel feed is split for television or your pc or router is not built for high connections) then go with one from your isp. hope it helpsREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-8IG1000MK 478 Intel 865G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: overall its a ok upgrade bord for the price but there are better
Cons: lack of fan controlers 3 would be nice.
runs quite hot
tech support is a joke
plus after 3 mo of use started seeing boot problems then at 6 mo it just is totaly gone cant boot or anything
the system was all new compatable parts when board was installed so its not any issue like that and it is behind a APC power back up +a surge protector
its just a board that can die easy (oh well live and learn)
