Pros: Nice look, nice weight. It's Asus so they would usually have good customer service.
Cons: No backlit keyboard, and shallow keys.
TERRIBLE UEFI BIOS.
TERRIBLE WINDOWS 8.
Loaded with a LOT of bloatware. Asus support failed me in my only request to downgrade from Windows 8 which is an awful experience to the more business related Windows 7. I called and they picked up very fast, took down a LOT of information, and then when I said I just wanted to boot from DVD to install Windows 7, which is incredibly hard to do on this machine, the operator literally just said, "I'm sorry I can't help you..." Before he paused to listen to me breathe in shock.
Trackpad is weird and doesn't respond too well sometimes.
Other Thoughts: For those of you who want to try Windows 8, great!
I'm a tech with 12 years of in depth repair and programming skills, and figuring out how to boot from USB or DVD is insane! The new BIOS is a firmware that blocks you from doing what you want, and will put you in for endless hours of looping terror.
Disable Secure Boot and Enable CSM from within the BIOS by holding F9 at startup, and then you can install another OS.
Overall this should've been better for $500.
