This review is from: ASUS R9290-4GD5 Radeon R9 290 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card
Pros: This card is blazingly fast when it works. Much like all the other reviews below, I've had the same problems with instability. I've tried every driver combination with no improvement, different configurations, different applications, etc.
My symptoms go like this: card will work perfectly for a few days. Then randomly while checking email the computer BSODs and restarts. Hmm, wierd. Get into Windows, start doing things, it's fine for a couple hours. Display freezes and won't wake up, then the computer restarts. Then it might do a restart cycle 3 or 4 times after getting the Windows loading screen.
What sucks the most is that I'm not sure if it's a driver or hardware problem. I was able to play through Skyrim for 5 days straight without issues, and it looked glorious. Then all the sudden the same problems above creep up and I can't even start up Skyrim for 3 days without crashes/restarts...
TLDR: Bad drivers, random BSODs/reboots/shutdowns, driver crashing. Everything goes back to normal once I put my old Asus 6850 back in.
Cons: Terrible drivers, hardware may be suspect as well. Very powerful card when it works properly.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Worked fine for a couple weeks and then died. Cyclic Redundancy Check error in Disk Manager, unable to initialize, and also wouldn't show up in BIOS when attached directly.
Cons: Broke after two weeks of use.
Other Thoughts: Awaiting a replacement. Didn't rate as one egg because all hard drives die. Will revise if replacement is DOA.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Nippon Labs 6 ft. High-quality DisplayPort cable for digital monitor Model DP-6-MM
Other Thoughts: Cable doesn't work. Just received it the other day. I plug it in to the source, and sometimes the computer detects a monitor, sometimes it doesnt. But even when it does detect the monitor, no signal is sent.READ FULL REVIEW
