Pros: When the card is working it is great in game. I utilize this card with dual monitors and it was working flawlessly for quite some time. For the price you get the kind of performance you would expect. If I didn't experience the issues I had with both the RMA service and the card being DOA I would have given it a five star rating for the enjoyment I got while it was working.
Cons: A few weeks after I got the card I noticed some green pixels on images and video playback. I thought it was due to my upgrade to Windows 8 and decided to wait out the next round of drivers. As a few months went by I didn't mind the pixels so much because they were only appearing in non-gaming related situations, but then it got worse. Eventually it began unexpectedly rebooting the PC (confirmed hardware failures in the PCs event log), pixels appeared during gaming etc... more green pixels were appearing on images etc... I swapped out the card with two other video cards that I had to make sure it wasn't my build and I confirmed that both the other cards were working. After Googling this issue online I found that other people have had this same problem with this card.
I was excited to find out that I was still within my GIGABYTE RMA warranty. I spent at least $20 in shipping and received my card back in two weeks, to find that they "found no problems with the card". I decided to take their word for it and try the card out again, thinking maybe through some of their testing they had corrected the issue (perhaps it was driver related or something else). Alas two days after re-installing the card I'm having all of the same issues. I'm incredibly discouraged by GIGABYTES RMA process, lack of communication with their customers and refusal to replace a product that was obviously dead out of the box. Shame on me for not sending this back earlier, but I clearly had more faith in this brand then I should have.
