Pros: Fast, fast fast. 2400 MHZ or higher. Good for gaming.
Cons: Had some issue with stability on an AsRock Z77 Pro4 Motherboard. After flashing the Bios to 1.8 and settings voltage to 1.65v and XMP setting in Bios on, working great at 2400.
Other Thoughts: The price was nice at the time I bought these.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Pros: Most of the issues of Windows Vista have been addressed.
This is not windows 8, which was designed with touch screens in mind.
Cons: The price has not come down in 2-3 years.
Other Thoughts: There is no doubt that Windows 8 was a panic move by Microsoft, and they needed to get into the mobile OS market, but Windows 8 is just terrible, so for now, and until MS stops supporting it, it is Windows 7 for me. If you game, you really have no choice but to stay with Windows 7 for now. Ubuntu is great, and getting better, but is still not quite there yet in supporting all games, and newer games.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It works great! Ubuntu 11.10 runs with no issues. The HDMI is a plus.
Cons: Windows 7 runs really slow on this puppy. The hard drive partitioning is weird. After installing Linux, there was a watermark saying unsupported AMD hardware on the bottom right hand side of the screen. I googled a fix fox this. Also Gaming with this thing is next to impossible, as in don't bother.
Other Thoughts: I installed 8GB ram in this and installed Ubuntu Linux 11.10 on a SSD drive and this thing screams! I would recommend this laptop to anyone thinking about using Linux, otherwise you might want to spend a little more for a better system.READ FULL REVIEW
