Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 550W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Power Supply
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs WAAA, still running beastly 01/17/2013

This review is from: Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 550W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Still running, for mother in law, powering Core2duo and a 8800gt. Still silent, pretty much no issues in over 6 years now, props!!

Cons: none, if my brother hadnt bought me a newer powerupply, tehcnically this would still powering even my current system.

Other Thoughts: None, was one of the best electronic purchases ive ever bought. Has lasted longer than the vehicles i have owned, and it has been a non-stop gaming machine when i had it and likewise now my motherinlaw plays Sims 3 everyday. Much props to Antec, platinum(gold is too average) standard parts by far!

Pros: Had no earthly idea they made, specifically, left-handed sata cables, this fixed my original problem, which was a videocard blocking a sata port. i bought a pci sata card to get the sata port i lost, this cable fit perfectly, and now im using the card for another drive. Thanx!

Cons: none!

Other Thoughts: Works perfectly!

Pros: Works as advertised! Powers my backup drive, with no issues. And allows me to retain my USB 3.0, on my 4 year old mobo :)

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Works for what i need, i am NOT trying to use it for booting, as i already know th issues with booting from a pci card, from reading reviews about actual pci SSD's. It would only make sense that trying to hook a ssd through a sata pci card, would only yield the same results unless stated for those mobos that do it properly. Sorry to all the folks that hasnt read information stating so.

Im powering a backup drive and ran out of space on my mobo, this was a plug and play experience, thanx Syba!
