This review is from: HANNspree HANNspree 42" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV ST42DMSB
Cons: Everything is wrong! I made the mistake of buying this TV at a low price and saving it in box for a later date to be part of some home renovations. After my living room was remodeled I finally broke out the TV from the box only to find out less than 15 minutes later that this TV had a mind of it's own. First off, the volume display comes on after 10 minutes shooting up to 100 and back down to 0. The only way to get it to stop, is to restart the TV. And even then, after 10 minutes the same thing. Second, the only button on the side that works is the power button. All the other buttons are useless.
The hard reality is, you can't buy a TV and hold it until a later date. You have to send in the warranty within 10 days of purchase. This sucks for people like me looking to the future of their home and saving a buck now. The same goes if you want to buy a a TV as a gift and hold it until the occasion arises.
$450 thrown down the drain.
Other Thoughts: Notice in all these reviews of those who had issues that unlike many other manufacturers, Hannspree hasn't even commented or apologized to these people about this. Wow!! I wish I noticed that before.
Also, since Hannspree can't and won't help me I had no choice but to inquire about a TV repair service to check it out. It would cost just as much to fix it as to buy it after the technician diagnoses it,orders anything for it and actually fixes it, if it is fixable, at $75/hr.
I buy a lot from Newegg and will continue to. But I will never buy or own another Hannspree anything!
This review is from: ARCTIC COOLING Accelero Xtreme 9800 Fluid Dynamic VGA Cooler
Pros: Looks great, nice construction, good price, great idea!
Cons: Here we go! First off, it is so mismatched with my EVGA 9800gt. Everything is about 2cm off. And after trying to force the gpu cooler into place,it seems to set right. But then, there is no place to plug the fans into the card because the connector is faced up and not out. Then Heatsink doesn't even make contact with the chip.
Other Thoughts: It's a shame that there weren't more detailed specs for this.Maybe it does fit some manufacturer's 9800gt. Now that I tried to force it, I bent some fins and am now stuck with it. Who knows, maybe someone may come along with a GPU overheating problem like mine and I can help them by bestowing my useless product on them.READ FULL REVIEW
