4 out of 5 eggs Good Keyboard, Takes time to get used to it 11/24/2013

This review is from: A4-Tech Left-Handed Pro KBS-29 Natural "A"-Shaped Key Layout Wired Multimedia Keyboard w/ Numeric Keypad

Pros: Good keyboard, and the numeric keys on the left make it much easier for me

Cons: "Mushy" key feel (but like most keyboards today; not any worse than the MS keyboard I had). Light weight - tends to slide around the desk if I type too fast (for example, while playing games). They keys are also laid out in a "flat" arrangement, not like an ergonomic keyboard, and so I sometimes get pain in my wrist if I type for too long.

Other Thoughts: It takes some time to get used to this keyboard. Since the number keys are on the left, I have to move my arms more to the right to line up with the keys. I keep my mouse on the left, which pushes the keyboard more to the left. Since I don't have an option to always use a left handed keyboard, so I have to keep reminding myself to make sure I line up my fingers on the "home keys" before I start typing, otherwise, because of the offset, I end up typing gibberish. Overall, a good keyboard, at a good price point.

LIAN LI PC-9F Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Good Looking Case
Easy to install components
Very well finished, inside and out

Cons: Power switch on TOP of case
USB connectors on TOP of case
Audio connectors on TOP of case

Other Thoughts: I have had several LianLi cases, and have nothing but praise for them. They are well designed, well made, and attractive. Unfortunately, the decision to put all the external ports and power, reset buttons on top was a mistake. My tower sits on the floor next to my table, and collects dust on top. You can't just dust it off, because it gets in the connector ports (USB, audio, etc..) and so it has to be vacuumed. I also tend to keep stuff on top of the case sometimes, and if there are things plugged in, I can't do that. The power on light and hard drive activity light are also on top which means I can't see it unless I look under the table. Even if it sat on the table, the same problems would occur. Inadvertent spills (coffee, soda) etc. could also gum up the switches and ports.

The fault is not that of the case, but the design. Any case with the ports or switches on the top would have this same problem. I have never been disappointed with a LianLi case, and I am not really disappointed with this one either, but I should have gone with a case with the usual configuration with the ports and switches in the front.
