5 out of 5 eggs Sharp Keyboard! 12/30/2015

This review is from: MSI S11-04US220-CL4 GK-701 Gaming Keyboard

Pros: It's a mechanical keyboard so there's that. The keys are very snappy and feel very precise when typing. I'm typing on it now. Almost a typewriter feel to it in many respects.

The lighting options for the keyboard are nice. You can use the FN key + F1 key to adjust how the keys light up which I like because I don't like my keys to be all lit up.

It feels incredibly sturdy and surprisingly heavy for it's size. It feels like a very high quality keyboard.

Cons: Only thing I would like it for it to be just slightly larger horizontally. It feels just a smidge tight when typing but I'm sure with time I'll get used to it completely.

Also not a huge fan of the red dragon logo on the keyboard. I like things with my computer rigs to be very minimal. I might try to see about removing the dragon and the stripe at some point.

Neither con is enough for me to knock an egg off though.

Other Thoughts: My build:

Pros: Excellent image quality that is very bright and has good overall color density. No dead pixels in either of the two displays I purchased. Between the two screens I get an excellent amount of usable real estate for all my open programs.

Cons: The stand for the displays are a little light weight for the size of the displays. I use a sit / stand desk and when I raise or lower my desk or even if I bump my desk a bit from normal usage they seem to sway a bit. The base seems large enough but the "neck" of the stands could be sturdier. Not enough for me to knock an egg off...

Other Thoughts: I would buy these displays again for the price I was able to purchase them at. ($99). Not sure if I would pay full retail for these knowing what I know now about the stands.

Pros: The BIOS from MSI on this board is amazing! I've never dealt with an easier to use BIOS that has a ton of OC'ing options. Boot order and timings are a snap with this thing. It's fairly dummy proof.

There are also a ton of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports on this drive as well as SATA ports. You can add a ton of peripherals and drives to this thing.

Cons: Some of the build quality was a little disappointing in some areas. While installing the RAM on this board one of the clips broke off with barely any pressure. Also the clips that keep the video card in the PCI-E slots feel very cheaply made. Very flexible and cheap feeling plastics on these areas of the board.

If you get this board be VERY CAREFUL installing your RAM and video cards.

Lastly the Front Panel Connector was missing from my package so I had to install all the jumpers manually. not a big deal but it was a little irritating.
