Western Digital Red NAS Hard Drive WD30EFRX 3TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: a million hour run time! WD quality. Read speeds are nice and fast.

Cons: Write speeds are disappointingly low. The drive reaches it's max write before maxing out a gigabit connection.

Other Thoughts: I have 6 of these in raid 5. Been running for over a year now, without any issues.

APEVIA X-TROOPER Series X-TRP-GN Black/Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

2 out of 5 eggs Could be better, could be worse 12/20/2013

This review is from: APEVIA X-TROOPER Series X-TRP-GN Black/Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: price. The thing was cheap. The lighted fans are bright, much brighter than I would have though.

Cons: The fans are molex only. Half an egg off. The LEDs on the front are very dim. I'll prob replace those with some aftermarket ones. Half an egg off. The holes punch in the case to help with cable management do not have grommets. I almost RMA'd it for this, but my customer really like the look of the case. I know that these cables don't move much, but come on.... 2 eggs.

Other Thoughts: bought this for a customer I was doing a build for. Somethings I was surprised about while others were just disappointing.

FirePower ModXStream Pro 700W 80Plus Semi-Modular High Performance Power Supply 700MXSP
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Since it is semi-modular that makes cable management a little bit easier in mid-tower cases. Nice and quiet. Under load with a 3770K, one hard drive and an old nvidia GTX 470 the 12V rail holds steady.

Cons: It advertises SLI ready, but I wouldn't try it. If you want SLI get a bigger PSU that is fully modular. It's a little lacking in the Sata power connections for the wattage. I've got a 550W PSU that has more Sata power.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a build I was doing for a friend. She's not a gamer but she wanted a rig that could run photoshop without problem, and for something like this PSU is fine.
