This review is from: Microsoft Windows Home Server 2011 64-bit - OEM
Pros: Looks pretty.
If your computer has an EFI/UEFI motherboard (new tech that replaces the old BIOS on MB), Windows Home Server will NOT backup your computer.
Also, if a hard drive in your machine is >3TB or uses a GUID partition, Windows Home Server will NOT back up that hard drive or possibly all other hard drives in your computer.
That's right - WHS only backs up traditional BIOS/MBR setups with drives 2TB or less. This is a known issue since 2/2011 and Microsoft has done nothing to fix it. Check out the WHS forums at social.microsoft.com and search for VSS 8194 error/issue.
I bought this software unaware of this and now it will not do what I specifically bought it for and Microsoft offers no support.
Other Thoughts: Stick with Amahi / FreeNASREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quality: Good - is plastic but feels solid and looks great
Screen: Resolution is acceptable but a bit grainy. Plenty bright. The touchscreen is amazing for this price tablet. Works very well. All the people I showed it to commented on this. Usually tablets in this price range have terrible touch interfaces.
Battery: Mediocre. I disabled the phone stuff, am using ICS and the battery is ok but not great. I get an hour or two using it full time. Charges quick tho from adapter
Ports: HDMI, USB, Headphone, separate charging port, everything you need.
Camera: Normal camera works fine
Performance: After flashing to ICS and taking care of the phone apks, it performs very well. Everything is very quick and responsive. There is some slight lag occasionally.
Other: Comes rooted and good community support
Cons: Battery a little too underwhelming and the screen resolution is the same as my 4" thunderbolt. So some tablet games will not work because technically the screen res is not 'tablet'.
No bluetooth or GPS.
Other Thoughts: Got it for one twenty which is a great deal. I wasn't really expecting much - just wanted a small device to hack and play around with ICS so I didn't have to root my phone. Definitely would recommend.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Aluratek ADPF08SF 8" 800 x 600 Digital Photo Frame with Auto Slideshow Feature
Pros: Bright, high res, low cost, easy to use, SD slot
Cons: Not crisp like a tablet or laptop screen
Other Thoughts: Great for the money. Not super high resolution but better than most. From a normal distance, looks bright and clear. If you get really close, it will look more pixelated and grainy. No one who sees it seems to notice.
Had it for just about one year of pretty constant use - no issues.
