Pros: 4 cores with 4 virtual cores. Should be good with video editing and other high end tasks.
Cons: Wish it was a true 8 core.
Other Thoughts: I'm coming from an Athon64x2 4000 and it's night and day faster.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Legacy PCI slots, parallel, and serial ports (for those that need them). Nice UEFI screen. Excellent control over fan speeds via UEFI, the ASROCK A-tuning app, and yes, Speedfan also works but it mislabels the fans, lol. I put in the CPU, memory, hooked up the necessary cables and it fired right up.
Cons: None as of yet.
Other Thoughts: Not as advanced as the "extreme" series but definitely more so than the basic "B" and the "H" series chipsets. This board packs a lot of bang for the buck and will make for a good mid to upper mid range system. No mention of Nvidia SLI support but it does support AMD Crossfire. Mine is paired with a core i7 4771 and 16GB of Gskill ram.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit
Pros: Boots faster than Win 7 (esp. with fast boot enabled). Better memory management. Big time enhancements to task manager!
Looking forward to win 8.1 update 1 to roll out soon...
Cons: Don't care much for the "modern" interface. Also, why must MS make the CD KEY so bloody small? Not all of us have perfect vision!READ FULL REVIEW
