MSI Gaming N760 TF 4GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: None

Cons: Got an MSI GTX 760 4GB OC in September. Installed and had little problems until playing games and then random blotchy artifacts would periodically appear both on the game and on the desktop.

RMA'd. Received new card today (12/2/13)

Here's what followed:
Installed card
Boot up - monitors turned off after "Please Wait" windows screen
Next boot up - BSOD
Next boot up - Windows Repair - windows was unable to repair
Next boot up - safe mode, installed 331.82
Next boot up - heavily artifacting, but otherwise working, installed 331.65
Next boot up - continues to artifact, reset BIOS with optimized defaults
Shutdown computer, re-examined power connections and connection to motherboard. Boot up, no change

Does NOT artifact during POST
Does NOT artifact during "Starting Windows"
DOES artifact during Please Wait/Welcome screen and beyond
Windows recognizes it as Nvidia GTX 760, but with problems.
NVidia Control Panel does not recognize the card as installed
Autocheck on Nvidia site DOES detect the card

I will be returning this piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: Won't be buying MSI again, since they just send you a "card from the functional pile of cards".

Customer service is terrible.
