This review is from: Nixeus MODA Mechanical Keyboard (Brown Soft Tactile Switch) MK-BN14 Keyboard
Pros: This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I love it! It's the cheapest keyboard I could find with brown switches, which have really helped my typing speed. Keystrokes that I have commited to memory seem to be faster on this keyboard vs a Dell or cheap rubber dome keyboard. After taking a typing test on this and an older keyboard multiple times (swapping back and forth) on average I am 7 to 10 WPM faster. This adds up over the course of a week.
Cons: it's louder than a rubber dome keyboard, and may by too loud for a very quiet office. I personally wouldn't let this stand in the way of purchasing the keyboard.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Plays and records TV and streams to my Roku box and PC without issue!
In order for Simple.TV to work properly, you must follow a few rules.
1. Make sure your router/devices are 802.11n
2. Do not use Firefox to configure/use Simple.tv. Use Chrome instead.
3. Make sure the drive you plug in to the USB port is FAST. At this point I am worried less about the DVR functionality, and tried a regular USB 2.0 drive, which caused all sorts of issues that were talked about in other review below. Using a 16GB Sandisk Extreme drive works very well: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA12K1097568
4. if your network is fast, you should be able to change the settings in the Roku app to "prefer HD" which forces the highest bandwidth settings first, and then drops the resolution network congestion is found. If you don't flip the "prefer HD" setting then the video is blocky. Changing this setting is only useful if you have a strong signal from a a high bandwidth 802.11N or better router.
Cons: Fan is loud, but I have the device hidden away in a closet.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Has the new ALC 1150 Audio chip with shielding, which allows for very crisp with nice deep base. This is the best sound quality I have found built onto a motherboard, which rivals the external add on card that I used to use.
