Pros: Great price/performance. Awesome card to start CUDA development. Has double precision FP. Quiet and runs reasonably cool out of the box (55nm technology). Good Linux driver.
Cons: Sound problems: My HannsG 281 is identified as HDMI monitor by Vista - need to connect your card to S/PDIF connector on mobo or sound card, which didn't exist in my case. External Speakers connected to analog audio out stopped working as well on my Tyan S2895 mobo with integrated Nforce audio on Vista64. Solution: uninstall Nforce audio driver in device manager (remove from disk), then let vista install its default driver after reboot. This restores analog audio. Finally, monitor doesn't go to sleep mode any more (still unresolved). This seems to be a driver problem and applies only to monitors connected by DVI-to-HDMI cable.
Other Thoughts: Latest nvidia beta driver supports OpenGL 3.0 and ambient occlusion. Unfortunately they are not digitally signed for vista (yet) and not released for 64bit linux yet. Problems with sound and sleep mode in connection with HDMI monitors are annoying - fix your drivers, NVidia!READ FULL REVIEW
