Pros: Product arrived quick without any issues. Easy to install and once configured in the bios ran memtest without any issues. I had to adjust a few settings in the bios to get my mobo to accept the 1600 timing reliably. First few attempts would not boot so I had to break down and bother to review my manual. It was an older mobo and seemed to prefer to run with 1333 instead of 1600 like this memory is rated for but with a few tweaks everything worked out perfectly. With a newer mobo I'm sure this will work right out of the box without issues.
Cons: None that I found, but honestly I've never had problems with crucial productsREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Overall a very attractive, reasonably powered laptop that has a solid design, great screen and enough horsepower to accomplish common computing needs.
Cons: The model I got was defective, and was obviously defective within 10 minutes. I suppose this was a good thing so I didn't find out outside of the return warranty but a pain nonetheless. Especially when anyone with any computing knowledge could see that the item was defective. The power connector on the side of the laptop would NOT charge the unit properly. Plugging the device in clearly would not charge. For a refurbished unit with a lot less attractive warranty it should have been tested further.
Other Thoughts: I am a lot more hesitant to buy a refurbished unit considering how clearly untested this unit was. While the price of refurbished is attractive it is very clear that it's in your best interest to test the unit the instant it arrives because you can't assume that even the most basic of functionality will work out of the box.READ FULL REVIEW
