Pros: Decant price for the features, at least on paper.
Cons: Mated this MB with an Intel i5 2500K CPU and 8GB of ram. I was going to build a new HTPC for the living room. Only one little problem, the MB will not POST with a HDMI cable attached. To build the system it was attached to an older Sharp TV (HDMI input), installed W7 64 bit, drivers and XBMC, so far so good. Moved HTPC to living room, attached HTPC to a newer JVC TV and it would not POST. Then I tried a 3 year old Sony Bravia, same thing, no POST, just a flashing curser. Took it back to the Sharp TV and it would POST fine. Emailed MSI tech support and was told to only use the Sharp TV! What? "OK kids lets go down to basement to watch your new movie". That's like going to your car mechanic and telling him your new car won't turn left, his response; "well only turn right". Are you serious MSI, that is your answer? I asked them how to return this MB for exchange or repair two days ago, still waiting. I then spent 47 minutes on-hold with their 1-800 number, I finally gave up.
Other Thoughts: If you Google H67MA-E45(B3) and HDMI boot failure you'll see that this is a common problem. There is a similar review here, same problem. I'm still waiting on a response from MSI, doubt if I'll ever hear back from them. I’ve had the MB since the 15th of Feb so Newegg refers you back to the manufacture to get things resolved. Well, it was a hundred dollar lesson learned, never buy another MSI product.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Can't go wrong with this tablet. The full size USB port is a big plus. Loaded a HC 3.2 ROM that allows me to use external DVD player/recorder/drive or external H.D. Micro USB port for those of you with Android phones. HDMI port that outputs Hi-Def video. Plus all the other usual tablet stuff, GPS accelormeter, SD card slot, cameras, Bluetooth, etc..
Cons: It's a bit heavy, a couple of ounces heaver then wife's iPod. You'll notice the difference after a half hour of use (get Acers case so you can set it down). The GPS takes a minute or two to acquire a signal. I have noticed the ROM makes a difference with that though. Prime 9.5a seems to be the quickest. You'll have to enable ad-hoc to connect to your wifi hot spot(s) (phone, laptop whatever). But these are all nit-picking once you're using it.
Other Thoughts: If you can get this with the rebate, gift card or coupon get it. There's a huge development community out there. Check xda or tabletroms for the latest ROM releases. Or just leave it stock and still have an awesome tablet. Finally, the Bluetooth connects flawlessly to my Bluetooth head phones, sounds great with the Mobile Dolby Digital. And connects to my no-name Bluetooth keyboard.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: For the first eight months when the SSD is working it is fast. Also liked the fact that these drives are quite and don't use much power.
Cons: Other than the price, when they decide to go bad they're not going to give you a lot of advanced warning. I have a few random lock-up's, then a couple of BSOD, finally its lights out.
Other Thoughts: I’ve been waiting for OCZ tech support to get back with me so I can send this thing back to them for replacement. It's been two day's now, looks like it's time for a follow-up email. Not holding my breath though......READ FULL REVIEW
