Cons: so far, 3 nucs..#1 DOA, #2 something burning inside with error on boot up saying warning thermal tripping then died, #3 gets the same warning of thermal tripping, waiting for it to die as well
Other Thoughts: im almost at the point where im sorry I bought this item. wasted weeks for 2 x RMA and replacement. not neweggs fault though that intel nuc product is badREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: not that expensive
Cons: cant hook up to tv when first start up, must be a pc monitor, must fish around bios and make sure you have the proper selections for you o/s. bios was not so easy for me to navigate but finally got it. had to upgrade bios with the jumper thinking I needed to when I couldn't load o/s due to BSOD error message saying bios isn't acpi compliant.
Other Thoughts: id have to say I have a average tech knowledge and have never had any problem installing an o/s. the nuc took a lot of time and reading from some of the review here as well as intel forums in order to even load win 7. first of all, i got no video when i first hooked up to tv. thanks to someone here mentioned that he had to initially hook up to a pc monitor first. the default in the bios is win 8 and you have to get in there and swap it out to win 7 or you get BSOD. well if anything, at least I learn what to do now. thanks to all those that have posted review here. may have been even more difficult otherwise.READ FULL REVIEW
Cons: mine DOA, no video whatsoever. not fortunately enough to be able to load new bios via removal of the jumper. called intel tech support just in case I may have done something wrong.....nope...
Other Thoughts: for now I have to give it 1 star, however, I reserve the right to change this if my exchange works.READ FULL REVIEW
