Pros: does work as a dialup modem in win 7 ultimate
Cons: cannot get this to work with the win 7 fax and scan apps. wrote to trendnet about it from their website and to no real surprise.......NO REPSONSE
Other Thoughts: now I know better and will next time buy a product from a company that will at least respond even if they don't know the answerREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: EPSON Perfection Series Perfection V600 Film & Photo Flatbed Color Scanner
Pros: makes decent scans. smaller footprint than my old HP scanner.
Cons: unit copy function sucks. a greenish line about 1/4 in wide going down from the left side of the page about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down. if you scan the same document and print it..its ok. called epson about this problem as was told to send it in for warranty repair. well...i had to pay to ship it to their authorized repiar center. they called me about a week later as was told the defect is well known by the head techs in epson and is unfixable!!! told me he changed a few thing anyway.
Other Thoughts: 1 week later still didnt get unit back. called authorized center and asked what carrier was used to ship my unit back. after a few moments...was told it was never shipped. they were waiting for me to pay for return shipping. i asked why when you called me more than a week ago i was not told i had to pay for return shipping. blah blah blah...im just the messegner..blah blah. never ever had to pay for return shipping on defective rma before. complained to epson about it and told them their warranty sucks as well as the inherent built in problem with the unit. well apparently...they dont care. they not only have poor warranties and products...thier customer service stinks as well. weeks go by before the answer. finally responded. they tried to bribe me with worthless $25 gift certificate. i say worthless since i will NEVER buy or want another epson product. they never responded again. been about 2 more weeks now.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: lots of drive space
Cons: i dont know what the deal with this drive..it takes almost 4 hrs to rar up an iso that any one of my WD 1 tb black takes 28 mins. hitachi seems to think its a firmware issue but every hitest app they have sent me caused my pc to crash and corrupt the windows xp that im using. i have to restore a ghost image to fix. now one can say maybe you got a bad drive....but i bought 2 of these hitachi 2 tb drives and they both behave the same way!!! also there is some funkiness in the hitest app. apparently it can only see drives as slaves. why make an app like this??? they told me to swap ports with a drive that scans. this swapping works but why do you need to do it this way...its nuts!!!!!
are there anyone else that is experiencing this super long rarring using win xp?
Other Thoughts: interestingly...my bud who has the exact same drives but is using win 7 64 bit does NOT exhibit this slow rarring. he can do the same iso in 24 mins.READ FULL REVIEW
