Misleading bundling
Pros: Well-made case, the card works fine so far.
Cons: Was offered as a bundle with the Panasonic FZ28, which will not fit inside the case.
Overall Review: Maybe Newegg should check their product bundling guidelines before offering up something like this. I won't be returning it since I do have another camera that will fit the case, but now I'm back to looking for a case for my FZ28
Vantec doesn't honor the warranty!
Pros: Kept the laptop cool for about a week, now a great paperweight.
Cons: Power connector crapped out after a week, Vantec refused to honor the warranty.
Overall Review: Last Vantec product I'll ever purchase.
No WiFi, no hdmi in?
Pros: Speakers look good Mounted to the wall easily Turned on first try
Cons: No wifi No HDMI Anemic subwoofer
Overall Review: So my wife bought this home theater in a box system, she asked me to take a look at the spec sheet first, everything looked great at a really good price. Then it got here, and I started hooking it up. I noticed no HDMI input, no huge deal I can run content over network. Then once I turned it on and started the setup process, no wifi... That's odd, the two things that mattered to me, both absent. I checked the wayback machine Internet archive to see if I'd misread something, and nope, there it is a month ago listed as having an hdmi input (1),and wifi capability. Not going to return it because shipping back plus restocking fee of 15% is worth more than crimping and running a new network cable, but pretty sad that I have to do that when we bought this specifically for the listed features /price point. If Newegg staff ever read this, I've got something like $6500 worth of purchases on my account over the years - not chump change to me but that total isn't going up anytime soon. Guess I'll need to keep my tech purchases to Ama-zon, where returns are free and no restocking fees. Disappointed to have to move my business elsewhere, but a page edit that changes the features is pretty egregious.
Purchased 5 years ago, still very *meh*
Pros: Cheap, looks okay, has indicator lights to let you know it's on, fan speed adjustment, on/off switch
Cons: The power connector needs to be redesigned. Came out of the box broken, and had to wiggle the cord around every time I nudged the cable.
Overall Review: Just wanted to voice my opinion on this one, Did an initial review back before manufacturer responses were allowed, maybe one day I'll be satisfied, but that day isn't today...
Crystal Bearer!
Pros: Innovative interface, the graphics are above-par for Wii.
Cons: Terrible control scheme, no RPG elements to speak of. 3 equipment slots are very limiting. Time limit for battles seems short when you have to run across maps to fight more than one group of hostiles. Gameplay very linear and constricting, side-missions totally lacking. Plot is stale and characters are very one-dimensional, and not at all motivated to their actions. Game seems thrown together at the last second to catch the holiday shopper crowd.
Overall Review: Poorly done, miscategorized, lacking in weaponry/equipment/leveling aspects of Role-Playing-Games. All in all, quite a disappointment. Not the worst Final Fantasy labeling (Chocobo Tales for DS, or Mystic Quest / Final Fantasy America for SNES/Super Famicom, anyone?), but definitely up there in the bad spinoffs list. Square-Enix seems to be turning into a spinoff treadmill, and that's a big disappointment to old-school gamers like myself who've remained loyal to the FF series.
Don't Bother
Pros: Looks nice and shiney
Cons: Makes TERRIBLE rice.
Overall Review: Shell out the money for a real rice cooker. You won't be able to pry my old Zojirushi from my hands 'til the day it dies.
